Napoleonstein (Napoleon Stone) at the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt 1806

The Napoleonstein (English: Napoleon Stone) at the Battlefield of Jena-Auerstedt of 1806. Filmed on 13 August 2022. It almost looks like a monolith from “2001: A Space Odyssey”. Napoleon commanded the Battle of Jena from this point at first, on the mountain called Windknollen. And later during the battle, he went to the small village of Cospeda to command the battle from there. Cospeda can be s...
Toshiro Mifune quote: 'I hate pathetic weaklings! Start crying and I'll kill you!' - Yojimbo scene
Here is how Mifune deals with weakness. Original quote: 'Ore nechya deekiree da. Isundeshigoto sugu kiruzo.' 大嫌い = deekiree = hate Quote from Yojimbo (1961). Said by the character Sanjuro Kuwabatake or The Samurai. Great movie by Akiro Kurosawa. Could someone write the original Japanese quote for me, please?
Dirty Harry premiere 1971 with Clint Eastwood in San Francisco
Clint Eastwood can be seen at 0:38. Here are some very rare scenes from the benefit world movie premiere of Dirty Harry at Loews Theater in San Francisco, on December 22nd 1971. There are views of crowds cheering in the rain as guests arrive (including Mayor Joseph Alioto) and the film's star Clint Eastwood is seen being interviewed on a podium outside by KPIX's Rolf Peterson. Also features mem...
Sergio Leone interview on Clint Eastwood and the Dollars Trilogy 1977
Too bad it's dubbed. This interview is from the 1977 BBC documentary "The Man with No Name" about Clint Eastwood. I don't speak Italian, but Leone is supposedly quoted as follows: "Talmente poveri." "Io penso che la caratteristica dei miei film sia che soprattutto sono dei film muti; il dialogo ha solamente un valore ed un senso aforistico."
Clint Eastwood sings Burning Bridges (Kelly's Heroes)

Mr. Eastwood sings about regretting his past. My guess is that he recorded it at the time of the release of the film "Kelly's Heroes", so around 1970.

James Bond talks about the Beatles - Goldfinger scene
Did James Bond just bash the Beatles? Scene from "Goldfinger" (1964). James Bond: It's lost its chill! Jill Masterson: Why, you! James Bond: There's another in the fridge. Jill Masterson: Who needs it? James Bond: My dear girl, there are some things that just aren't done. Such as drinking Dom Pérignon '53 above a temperature of 38° Fahrenheit. That's as bad as listening to the Beatles without e...
Why Sergio Leone was a great director. (Prison escape scene)
That accent you're hearing is Dutch. I compare two very, very similar western scenes about a prison escape. Note the similarities: It's night, the prisoner is asleep, escape by destroying the window, riding away in the dark and not a single word is spoken. The scenes even have almost exactly the same length. Still, Leone's scene is better, because of his use of the music of Ennio Morricone. Thu...
All Stars (Nederlandse film) 1997 - intro begin

You got lessons from non telepathic people who don’t “shine” then blew your short term memory filter with drugs. It’s evolution, man. That’s why you all have schizophrenia. They don’t understand. A higher consciousness is harder to reach because the hierarchy is based on intelligence.

"...sometimes things leave a trace..." I think science needs to stand at the forefront of superstition and spiritualism. A spiritualist is also a sinner. If you can gamble on conscience you are no longer a person?

This is my favorite Halloween movie I watch it every Halloween. Or at least I play it in the background while I cook and my husband and I drink. This and House of 1,000 Corpses. Those two are my all time favorite Halloween movies. U know what, I did like the remake “Dr Sleep”. I appreciated it. It was spooky but I wish it was more dark, I don’t like CGI, I like old school scary. The kind of scary that is real, no CGI, no smoke and mirrors. The real irky dirty stuff.

Scatman Crothers was a great entertainer... I feel like his presence was the only point of comfort in this movie, also a great teacher for Danny... EDIT: at 2:37 minutes in this clip the tone gets dark and menacing when they start talking about room 2:37, and you can also see the knives on the wall over Dany's head. Very troubling.

Jack Nicholson got all the glory, but Danny Lloyd and Shelly Duval provided stellar performances in this film. The true moments of terror come from their facial expressions. Think about it for a moment. The twins scene is terrifying because of Danny's expression. The blood elevator scene is terrifying because of Wendy's expression. The ax through the bathroom door works because of Wendy's over the top facial expressions. They were pivotal.

Kubrick was said to have adored this little kid and was apparently really nice to him onset. But he, apparently, treated poor Shelly Duvall like shit. I love Kubrick's movie but it sure ain't a close adaptation of kings fabulous novel. But, hey, nor is Tobe Hooper's mini series version of Salem's Lot and just look how many people love that!!! 🙂👌👌🙏🙏
